What is a Poll Worker
Job duties
- You will be the front line of the democratic process and the main point of contact for voters
- It is your duty to provide excellent customer service while ensuring that the elections laws are being followed
- You will be trained on and may be required to use all of the election equipment that will be used on Election Day
- All Workers are must arrive at their Poll by 5:30 AM on Election Day and are required to stay until the Poll Manager dismisses you (this could mean a 16+ hour day) @(Model.BulletStyle == CivicPlus.Entities.Modules.Layout.Enums.BulletStyle.Decimal ? "ol" : "ul")>
Requirements
In order to a Poll Worker you
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be a resident of Effingham County
- Must complete Poll Workers training, required by law @(Model.BulletStyle == CivicPlus.Entities.Modules.Layout.Enums.BulletStyle.Decimal ? "ol" : "ul")>

Clerk | $9.16/hr |
Complete tasks as assigned by the Manager |
Technician | $13.55/hr |
Visit assigned Polling Locations and complete various technical tasks |
Equipment Delivery Crew | $13.55/hr |
Deliver and pickup all voting equipment to the polling locations. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. |
