The Effingham County Board of Tax Assessors will be CLOSED starting Thursday December 30, 2021 02:30 P.M. and will reopen Monday January 3, 2022 at 08:30 A.M. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Wishing our citizens, a safe and Happy New Year.
The Effingham County Board of Tax Assessors will be CLOSED Friday December 31, 2021. The office will reopen with regular business hours (Monday through Friday 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) on January 3, 2022.

MAY 2021 NEWS ALERT!
The annual 2021 Assessment Notices have been mailed out! the dates to file your appeal for 2021 is Friday May 14, 2021 to Monday June 28, 2021. If you would like to file an appeal to dispute the value, uniformity, taxability, or denial of exemption - you now have options! come into the office, submit via mail, or file online!

News - January 15, 2021
The Effingham County Tax Assessors office will be closed Monday January 18, 2021 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and will resume normal business hours Tuesday January 19, 2021.
News - May 25, 2020
Effingham County Tax Assessors office will be re-opening to the public June 1, 2020. Our Tax Assessor Board meetings are open to the public and have re-opened in office. The option to attend our meetings virtually is still available.

- Per the Georgia Department of Revenue, the Effingham County Tax Assessors office will be accepting Conservation Use Value Assessment (CUVA) and Forest Land Use Protection Act (FLPA) applications until June 1, 2020.
